His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (The President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi) has a strong passion for conservation which is manifested in his patronization of multiple initiatives at home and abroad.  Conservation Breeding Centre (CBC), a landmark project and the only one of its kind in Pakistan, was sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Lal Suhanra, Cholistan Desert in 2015. It is a guarded desert expanse spread across 165 square kilometers (40,772.4 acres) where Chinkaras, Blackbucks and Blue Bulls have successfully thrived in a semi-wild environment.  Interestingly, a diverse mix of other species comprising raptors, birds, reptiles and even predators have naturally adopted CBC as their abode, which underscores the quality of the prevalent ecosystem and adds immense value to the project.  Regular seeding of flora through conventional and aerial means is carried out to ensure that abundant food is available for fauna around the year.
