600 Houbaras were initially released in March 2015 followed by batches of 200 each in successive years till 2018.  In January 2026, again a batch of 80 Houbaras fitted with transmitters was released from different points in CBC. We maintain a small flock of Houbaras in mud pens at the Camp location to facilitate study and advanced research.  Students mostly from institutions in South and Central Punjab like; UVAS, CUVAS, IUB and the University of Okara regularly visit the enclosure throughout the year.
